8 Oct 2018 Fourth and final meeting

The fourth and last meeting of the WBL 2.0 European project took place on 4 – 5 October 2018 in Valencia (Spain). During the fourth meeting, the European project partners finalized the collection of video interviews and video testimonials of company managers and communication experts, identifying some best practice to be better highlighted. In addition, the European project partners finalized the structure of the virtual internship platform addressed to students, directors, trainers, and companies.


4 Oct 2018 WBL 2.0 Multiplier Event in Lithuania

eMundus organised a multiplier event in Lithuania aiming at spreading information about the WBL 2.0 project. 18 Jul 2018 Video Best Practices in Lithuania

More than 100 videos (amongst interviews and testimonials) have been realized in the framework of the WBL 2.0 project. So project partners started asking themselves: “Which are the videos we are prouder of? 15 Jun 2018 WBL 2.0 Final Conference

On 14 June 2018 the Final Conference of the WBL 2.0 European project took place. The final conference was held in collaboration with IES Mestre Ramon Esteve, a VET training centre from Catadau (Valencia). The conference was hold in the Culture House of Catadau and was attended by VET students, VET trainers and directors of VET schools as well as local authorities (Catadau Mayor and one representative of regional government from Training and Education department) as well as local companies. 150 people participated in the Conference. During the conference, the results of the project were presented to the participants, in particular: the Video Interviews and the Video Testimonials, the Case Scenarios to work with the videos, and the online platform for mobilities,.


23 May 2018 Updated Press Review

The WBL 2.0 European project is currently in the second year of its life cycle and its results are getting more and more evident and available on the project website. This is the main reason why it is important to publicize that information which can have a significant impact on project target users. And this is the main reason why the press review’ section – containing articles, web-articles and exchange links related to the WBL 2.0 project aims, activities and results – has been recently updated and developed. 8 May 2018 Video Interviews and Video Testimonials

The availability of almost 90 amongst video interviews and video testimonials with managers/owners of web companies: this is one of the main results of the WBL 2.0 project. The video interviews (https://wbl.pixel-online.org/video-lessons.php) describe how web agencies’ owners defined the technical solutions behind their company website, what impact they expect from social media marketing strategies and the indicative investments they are keen to make for the purpose. The video testimonials (https://wbl.pixel-online.org/video-testimonials.php) aim to enhance VET students’ motivation to complete their studies and to reinforce their understanding of companies expectations.


17 Apr 2018 WBL 2.0 Youtube channel

The WBL 2.0 (Work Based Learning 2.0) project already launched its Youtube channel, where it will be possible to find the video materials produced by all the partners. In particular, the following materials will be uploaded on the WBL 2.0 Youtube channel: the video interviews on companies’ expectations and the video gallery of testimonials, collecting interviews with successful entrepreneurs and companies’ managers.


3 Apr 2018 Video Testimonials

The first Video Testimonials are now available on WBL 2.0 project website at: https://wbl.pixel-online.org/video-testimonials.php. Project partners have been collecting the testimonials from successful entrepreneurs and companies’ managers. The testimonials address the following themes: their personal and professional history; their educational and training path; the specific profiles that they need within their business to underline the importance of VET education; the personal characteristics and the skills they are they are looking for when selecting their staff resources.


12 Mar 2018 WBL 2.0 Third Meeting

The third meeting of the WBL 2.0 project took place in Kilkis (GR) on 8 – 9 March 2018. During the third meeting, the European project partners finalized the video interviews and testimonials of company managers and communication experts. In addition, the European project partners discussed the structure of the Guidelines to be addressed to students, directors, trainers, companies and policy makers and to be produced in the next coming months.


28 Feb 2018 WBL 2.0 Video Interviews

The first Video Interviews are now available on WBL 2.0 project website at: https://wbl.pixel-online.org/video-lessons.php. Project partners have been interviewing managers/owners of companies of their local area, asking them to describe - through video interviews – the technical solutions behind their company website, what impact they expect from social media marketing strategies and the indicative investments they are keen to make for the purpose. The videos are organised in thematic areas and allow students to face the real needs and expectations of the companies through the language and the knowledge of companies’ managers and owners.


19 Feb 2018 VET companies joined the project

As one of the target groups the WBL 2.0 addresses is represented by companies, some of them already joined the WBL 2.0 project. For each of the companies invited to join the WBL 2.0 project, a specific description has been produced, containing the profile of the company (name, address, website, email, and Facebook profile), the description of the company and the name of the company manager. 14 Feb 2018 160 dissemination events organised

At the beginning of the project life cycle, a dissemination strategy has been defined. One of its objectives was represented by the organisation of a number of dissemination events through which project partners were asked to spread information about the project and its main results. Until February 2018, more than 160 dissemination events have been organised and carried out by partners. 30 Jan 2018 Subtitles available in 5 national languages

For some of the Video Interviews and Video Testimonials uploaded on the WBL 2.0 project website subtitles in the 5 project languages. The interviews with company managers describe in a real life business scenario how they foresee the company website and how they imagine the impact of a social media marketing plan for their enterprise. This will is meant to challenge VET students to face an innovative learning environment in which they experience, without filters, what happens in real job contexts.


26 Sep 2017 Availability of Real Case Scenarios

Some of the Video Interviews already uploaded have now been enriched with related learning objects / real case scenarios to be used by trainers and teachers in order to enrich their classroom activities, motivate their students and help them to build specific knowledge, competences and skills coming directly from the labour market.


24 Jul 2017 Involvement of Associated Partners

A number of associated partners officially joined the project in order to contribute to the improvement of the project impact on their target groups and to ensure the project sustainability by continuing using the project deliverables in the next years. They include no profit associations, training institutions, public authorities, VET providers, etc. The information about all associated partners is available on the project portal under the Associated Partners section.


21 Jun 2017 WBL 2.0 Second Meeting

The second meeting of the WBL 2.0 project took place in Dundee (UK) on 17 – 18 July 2017. The second meeting was an opportunity for the project partners to go through and share the results produced so far. Andrea Peraldo and Maria Angeles Ruiz Gamez conducted the meeting and all partners contributed with the presentation of the activities carried out at national level and of the Video Interviews and Testimonials produced. The Videos were analysed and discussed, in order to check the main issues and share the most effective strategies used to implement them. The meeting was also an opportunity for the partners to make a detailed planning of the project future activities.

19 Apr 2017 VET Trainers involved in the project

The WBL 2.0 project is addressed to students, companies and VET trainers. Those, in particular, have a crucial role in assessing and testing – together with their students - the deliverables produced, so as to provide a feedback and check their real functionality. 22 Jan 2017 WBL 2.0 Kick off meeting

The kickoff meeting of the European project WBL 2.0 (Work Based Learning 2.0) was held on 20 - 21 January 2017 at Pixel site in Florence. During the first meeting, the European project partners introduced themselves as well as their project’s related experiences and expertise. The main activities to be carried out were presented and discussed.


1 Jan 2017 The WBL 2.0 Project

The WBL 2.0 project started officially in November and involves 7 organisations from 6 different European countries. The project will improve the cooperation between VET providers and companies in planning and delivering VET courses in the field of web design and social media marketing in order to ensure a more effective matching with the job market expectations. The WBL 2.0 will also promote the internationalization of apprenticeships.
